Farm Fresh Roller Girls take on your Mid Iowa Rollers for the first time….
Mid Iowa Rollers – the first roller derby team in Iowa – are heading into their last scheduled Iowa Event Center home game this season, facing Rock Island, Illinois’ own Farm Fresh Roller Girls Saturday, August 27 at Hy-Vee Hall in downtown Des Moines!
As always, come for derby, but also get in on the full bar, food, raffle and FUN. Drawing proceeds benefit Victims of Crime Services, so be sure to catch one of those Mid Iowa Rollers skating around with the bucket full of chances… and you could win a bucket full of CASH.
What’s more? All attendees will get treated to a rocking concert as The Psycho Circus, Des Moines’ premier KISS tribute experience shreds, wails and jams in full makeup at halftime.
All ages are welcome on the floor and in the stands, but take your place in SUICIDE SEATING at your risk only (and only if you’re 18)! Also, don’t forget your camera. After the bout, the derby girls will happily pose and sign autographs!
Kids 12 and under are always FREE. Advance tickets are $10, or $13 at the door. Get advanced tickets at Wells Fargo Arena or hit up one of the derby girls. Don’t know one? No problem. Just look them up on Facebook or Twitter and they’d be happy to hook you up.
